Festo - Save energy, increase productivity

The advantage of compact components

Because pneumatics has a high power density, pneumatic components are widely used in machine lines. Smaller components are gaining popularity due to ease of use, energy savings and productivity gains.

The advantages of compact components at a glance:

  • Lower energy consumption
  • Less material
    • Lower CO2 footprint
  • More space for other movements
    • Higher productivity
  • Lower mass, means higher speed
    • Higher productivity
  • Less valuable m2 per machine

The smallest cylinder in the Festo portfolio: ADN-S

Smaller systems - and yet higher performance. This technical feat is possible with the compact cylinders ADN-S. With their extremely small dimensions, lightweight design and one-piece housing, the cylinders are ideally suited for performing small movements.

Highlights

  • Short and narrow
  • Lightweight and versatile
  • Fast and reliable delivery even in large quantities
  • Optional with minimal copper, zinc and nickel for use in battery production

Ideal for micro-movements

The ADN-S is ideally suited for test or simulation set-ups or performing checks. Pressing buttons or switching equipment on and off, for example, requires very little force. Ideal for the ADN-S. Thanks to their excellent running characteristics, the ADN-S cylinders with their lightweight and compact housing reliably and with a long service life.

Siemens SIPLUS
The availability of machines and plants is a basic requirement for productivity. In order to minimize unplanned downtimes, it is necessary to detect the sources of error at an early stage. This is exactly where SIPLUS CMS Condition Monitoring Systems come in: they continuously monitor the condition of mechanical components of your machines – even throughout the entire plant. SIPLUS CMS therefore represents an important step toward the digital factory, where all the players including machines, products and people along the value chain will be networked. SIPLUS CMS working together with MindSphere – the cloud-based, open IoT operating system from Siemens – opens up completely new possibilities. The powerful cloud platform is designed for analyzing large quantities of data and enables machine parks all over the world to be monitored for service purposes in order to reduce their downtimes.
